Terms of service

In effect from: 5 April 2026

These terms of service (the “Terms”) apply between:

  • the operator of the app: Lidmila Maršálková, company ID 05684447, not VAT registered, registered at Jindice 115, 285 04 Rašovice-Uhlířské Janovice, Czech Republic (also “the operator” or “we”), entered in the Czech trade register,
  • the user of the app (also “the user” or “you”).

These Terms govern your use of the mobile app available through the Google Play Store (the “App”). By downloading, installing or using the App you agree to these Terms.

1. Definitions

  • App – the mobile app provided through Google Play.
  • Agreement – the contractual relationship between the operator and you, created by downloading, installing or using the App.
  • User – the person who installs and uses the App.

2. Subject of the service

We operate the following mobile apps, available through Google Play:

  • BetterShelf – managing cosmetics and toiletries, tracking expiry dates, organising products into virtual shelves and AI product recognition.
  • DreamWitness – dream interpretation using an offline dictionary of symbols and an AI consultant. The app’s output is intended purely for entertainment and education and is not a substitute for professional psychological help.
  • Kvitta – tracking shared expenses and settling debts automatically. The app’s calculations are for guidance only and are not a substitute for professional financial advice.
  • BetterMingle – planning and coordinating group events, including shared expenses, voting, ride sharing, room allocation and group communication.
  • TAROTIQ – AI tarot readings with a personal fortune teller, Madame Stella, a daily card, a card library and personalised interpretations. The app’s output is intended purely for entertainment and education and is not a substitute for professional psychological or any other professional help.

Features become available once the app is installed from Google Play; depending on the app and how you use it, they may be free or paid.

3. Downloading and availability

  • You download the App, and make any purchases within it, exclusively through the Google Play Store.
  • All payments, cancellations, refunds and licence management happen through the Google Play interface and are governed by Google’s terms and processes.

4. Prices and payments

  • Each app has its own pricing, shown on its Google Play listing.
  • BetterShelf: a monthly, yearly or lifetime subscription according to the current pricing on Google Play; the free version contains ads, the Plus version does not.
  • DreamWitness: a free tier (2 dream analyses per week) plus a lifetime Plus version (CZK 149); the free version contains ads, the Plus version does not.
  • Kvitta: pricing will be published when the app launches on Google Play; the free version contains ads.
  • BetterMingle: pricing will be published when the app launches on Google Play; the free version contains ads, the Pro and Business versions do not.
  • TAROTIQ: 3 free AI readings for new users plus a daily card that is always free. Further readings are paid for with coins (packs of 5, 15 or 50) according to the current pricing on Google Play; the free version contains ads.
  • Payments are made through the Google Play payment system and are governed by Google’s terms.
  • If you are entitled to a refund under the Google Play rules (for example within 48 hours of downloading), follow the instructions in Google Play.

5. Intellectual property rights

The App and all of its content (code, graphics, text) are protected by copyright. Ownership rights remain with the operator. Without the operator’s prior written consent you may not copy, modify or distribute the app, or create derivative works from it.

6. Limitation of liability

  • We provide the App “as is”, without any warranty that it is fit for a particular purpose.
  • We accept no liability for damage arising from use of the App, except where the law expressly requires it.
  • The operator is solely responsible for the content within the App.
  • The AI output in DreamWitness (dream interpretation) may be inaccurate or incomplete. We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of it; the output is not a substitute for professional psychological help.
  • The calculations in Kvitta are only an indicative overview of shared expenses. We are not liable for financial decisions made on the basis of them; the output is not a substitute for professional financial advice.
  • The expense calculations in BetterMingle are only an indicative overview. We are not liable for organisational or financial decisions made on the basis of data in the app.
  • The AI output in TAROTIQ (tarot readings) is intended purely for entertainment and education. We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of it; the output is not a substitute for professional psychological, medical, legal or financial help.

7. Personal data protection

How we process personal data obtained through the App is described in our privacy policy.

7a. Cookies and analytics on the website

On the website we use analytics cookies (Google Analytics) only after you consent in the cookie banner. Without consent, the analytics scripts do not load.

8. Ending the service

  • You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.
  • The operator may end access to the App (for example by discontinuing support), but any such change will be made with notice and users will be informed where possible.

9. Withdrawal and refunds

Withdrawal from the Agreement and refunds are handled through Google Play under its rules (usually within 48 hours of installation). Any subsequent disputes are handled by Google Play, not by the operator.

10. Changes to these Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. A new version takes effect once it is published in the App or on the website. If you do not agree with it, stop using the App and uninstall it.

11. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by Czech law. Any disputes are decided by the competent court in the Czech Republic. Where you are a consumer, the relevant statutory provisions take precedence. As a consumer you have the right to out-of-court resolution of a consumer dispute through the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (ČOI).

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
