- Why is cost per use more useful than the price on the shelf?
- A 30 ml serum you use twice a day and a 200 ml body lotion you use twice a week cost completely different amounts per application, even at the same shelf price. Cost per use is what actually hits your budget.
- How much product should I count per application?
- A rough guide: half a teaspoon (1.25 ml) of sunscreen for the face, one pump (1 ml) of serum, two pumps (2 ml) of moisturiser and a tablespoon (5 ml) of body lotion. The calculator offers these as presets.
- Is expensive skincare always worse value?
- Not necessarily. A concentrated serum you use a drop at a time can work out cheaper per application than a cheap cream you get through in a month. That is exactly what this calculator shows.
