Requesting deletion of your account and data

Which apps this covers

• BetterShelf – managing household supplies, expiry dates and purchases.
• DreamWitness – dream interpretation and an AI consultant.
• Kvitta (Android) – sharing and managing group expenses.
• Kvitta Web – the web version of Kvitta.
• BetterMingle – planning and coordinating group events.
• TAROTIQ – AI tarot readings with a personal fortune teller, Madame Stella.

All the apps share the same Firebase infrastructure. The process for deleting an account and its data is the same for each of them.

How to request deletion

1. In the app in question, go to Settings → Account → Manage account → “Request account deletion”.
2. If you no longer have the app installed, write to hello@codewhiskers.app from the email address used on the account, with the subject line:
   • “Delete BetterShelf account” – for BetterShelf,
   • “Delete DreamWitness account” – for DreamWitness,
   • “Delete Kvitta account” – for Kvitta / Kvitta Web,
   • “Delete BetterMingle account” – for BetterMingle,
   • “Delete TAROTIQ account” – for TAROTIQ.
3. We will send you a confirmation and complete the request within 30 days. Most requests are handled within 7 days.

If you use several CodeWhiskers apps and want your data deleted from all of them, just say so in a single request.

Verifying your identity

Requests made inside the app are automatically tied to your account. For email requests we may ask you to confirm with a verification code sent to your email address, or for additional information, to keep the process secure.

What data we delete

BetterShelf

• Account details (email, profile picture, internal identifiers).
• Shelves, products, photos, notes and consumption statistics.
• Membership of shared shelves and invitations.
• App settings and notification preferences.

DreamWitness

• Account details (email or anonymous identifier, internal identifiers).
• The history of AI dream analyses and saved conversations.
• DreamWitness Plus purchase data.
• App settings and preferences.

Kvitta / Kvitta Web

• Account details (email, display name, profile picture, internal identifiers).
• Groups, expenses, settlements and activity history.
• Group memberships and payment preferences.
• App settings and notification preferences.

BetterMingle

• Account details (email, display name, profile picture, internal identifiers).
• Events, participants, votes, chat messages and photos.
• Expenses, settlements, ride sharing and room allocations.
• Tasks, packing lists, schedules and event ratings.
• Event memberships and subscriptions.
• App settings and notification preferences.

TAROTIQ

• Account details (email, star sign, internal identifiers).
• Reading history, saved interpretations and the cards drawn.
• Coin balance and purchase history.
• Achievements and statistics.
• App settings and preferences.

Third-party data processed by Google (for example purchases or subscriptions through Google Play) is governed by Google’s terms and may not be covered by this request.

What we may keep temporarily

To meet legal obligations and resolve disputes we may retain minimal technical records (for example consent logs and accounting documents) for as long as strictly necessary, usually up to 30 days and never longer than the period required by law. These records are not used for any other purpose.
